I think so. Because my uploadings (MSDN Libraries and Office 2000 Arabic) are now in processing because he told me that and asked me for the build of Office. So that he might have them moved from upload server.

Right, I've had to proxy in via kodos (my ovh dedicated server) since it's seeming that OVH are blocking certain connections into datacenter 3 or something. Anyway....

Can we stop with the swearing and hate mail first off. I know you're probably annoyed that the site went down for a bit, this moves me onto my next point. [censored] happens. Kids think they can win by pumping massive amounts of data through to the server, they haven't won. The site still stands. I'm now expecting messages from random folk stating their lame intentions and such. Pffft.

With the FTP, remember that it is split onto two servers. As with the disruption, they've split. This will come back in time.

With the connection problems, not much that can be done until the problems with OVH are resolved. Pretty sure it's an OVH issue, not this server's problem.

Aaaand back to normal it is.

Wow. Apparently these dumbass kids have nothing better to do then sit in their mother's basement and DDoS a site just because they don't like it. MANY people absolutely HATE YouTube, but you never see them DDoSing them, do you?

They need to get off their ass and get a life.

Please Blizzardo1, mrpijey told not to blame anymore. We all know that this is as bomb for us "members", so what do you think the position of the Moderators and Administrators, especially Andy who's the main Administrator.

He would be more angry than me and you and other members of what happened.

I wasn't stating any names, I just want to crowbar the [censored](s) for what they did. I'll help Andy do so in an orderly fashion.

Eh, YouTube's owned by Google which has many, many lawyers. BetaArchive is a small site owned by no corporation and these kids think because of this they can get away with DDoSing BetaArchive.

Guess because not all DNS servers have recovered yet.

Nothing to do with DNS. It's being blocked from within the datacenter.

So that's what it was… I usually spend 1+ Hrs on the BetaArchive, and yesterday Safari told me it did not exist…
And the FTP was down, as well… So I figured the servers were being updated…
Wait… it was a DDoS ?!!… Can I get a crowbar too? :P

Now let us all get our Hazardous Environment Suits on and go rampaging around who knows where flailing crowbars around.

(my preference: Doom Rocket Launcher :D)

Unfortunately the site is still down for me unless I use my cell phone's service, but awesome job handling this Andy. I know it takes time, effort, and money to keep this site up and running and I, as well as many other users, really do appreciate it.
For everyone who might be curious, the attack on FailNet was pretty small scale and we had no interruption in service.

This sucks most. I either have to use my phone or RDP into M1 (like I am now -.-). Here's hoping OVH sort it out soon..

Wow, I missed a lot while I was gone. I had to go to Pennsylvania for family emergency so I wasn't really online for about 3-4 days. Actually, I think while I was gone, I wanted to access the FTP for a second but it had problems so I decided to go to the website and the webpage did not load so I went to check to see if the servers were down by going to isup.me to see if it was down or not, and it told me it was. Hopefully, you guys can get this mess fixed quickly :(

Did not know what really caused the website to go down until now.. freaking DDoS attacks.
