So I got back to work and started to create something better, and different - The Future of Longhorn Linux is this transformation pack , And in a few days , i had something i really thought was better .

I reworked allot of the graphics from better sources , (hounsell , i won't stop developing until I make something with linux you deem 'not half bad' :P )

I know some of the Icons Are Currently windows 7 but i am working on that :

there

http://hotfile.com/dl/99492230/6c9952f/ ... s.rar.html

some go up to 256x256, some don't :/
some were dug out from 5048 some from 4066 too
(hence the left-right against 4074's)

what don't you like about the nautilus design (i know at the moment it is a bit boring , empty , missing longhorn features (the coloured preview bar thingy's) but I can't do much cause I don't really code C ++ Or Python to write a plugin for nautilus , however it is Work in progress

If I'm correct..., the website, lhlinux.org says this...
Quote:
Longhorn Linux is a modification of the Ubuntu Linux operating system, to make it look and feel like Windows Longhorn.

And since the downloads are huge, I'm guessing it's preloaded only just for Ubuntu?

yeah it is ubuntu with that installed , lhlinux was canceled a month back ,and changed into a transformation pack , At the mo it is only working on ubuntu however i might do a fedora/opensuse port , and mabi an arch linux port .

Venetik wrote:

the style it'sself will work on all linux distros , however things like nautilus and aero GTK are in .deb's and will require allot of porting

A little sideproject : The Filesystem

Another Problem with linux is that the filesystem is a mess :

Image

that is complicated , and very discouraging for a new user , i took the windows approach and am working on this :
