Forum rules

Please read the following rules before posting a download request in this area:

1. Don't post a request if you have under 10 posts as stated on the front page. If you do anyway, it will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to other members: If you see a request by someone with less than 10 posts and it hasn't been deleted yet, please don't reply to it.
2. Don't request for warez or any copyrighted software. Only betas (no matter how old or new) and finals of operating systems and applications that are at least 10 years old and therefore classified as abandonware are allowed to be uploaded to and shared on the BetaArchive FTP server.
3. If you have your own FTP server where you'd like other members to upload what you're looking for to, please don't post its login details in any open forum as that will probably lead to abuse. Post the login details in the Private Servers section instead.
4. Check that we don't already have the file on our FTP servers. If you don't have access to the FTP servers then ask someone who has (a moderator for example).

Can't you do it yourself? You're an advanced member and have access to FTP!

Hi, I'm busy uploading this to the FTP, I will report back when upload is complete.

Edit: I've uploaded it to the BA Upload FTP Server under folder from xpclient uploaded by AlexJ (finished).

I've repacked the original upload by xpclient into a rar file, I have not touched the ISO. Rules state, uploads must be RAR.

I thought it was .RAR only, thank you for letting me know the other extentions are allowed.

Yes but then I would have to upload twice and my upload speed isn't that great. If I upload only to the FTP, it may take quite some time before it turns up on the BA Download server. This way those who want it quickly can get their hands on it and upload it for others. :) Thanks a lot AlexJ. I don't mind if you don't mention my name on the upload FTP as I did not upload it to the FTP.

I to get the same error, only had time to try it today as I've been so busy.
This will have to be deleted from the BA Upload FTP.
Edit: Deleted from BA FTP Upload Server.

Did you try by just mounting the CD instead of burning it? If it still fails, it will upload again with a fresh CloneCD image.

Mount the CD in Nero ImageDrive 3.0.0.12. I will try to prove in SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive

Use CloneCD to create .BIN and .CUE files of the disc and then use MagicISO to create an .ISO from them. This should produce a working .ISO.

You could look for nrg2iso.exe, which converts nero files to regular iso files.

Lol, I only discovered that I have just this broken image. Never tried to install it. :? It named Plus! Game Pack.iso, have size in 536 432 640 bytes and dated 31 December 2010. Reason of this error is probably that file LTDLL.DLL have one altered byte at 340B offset (74 instead of EB). But most strange that in normal image from 3rd post this file have differ date (23 August 2000) whereas in broken image all files have same date (23 June 2000). So it look like rather this newer file was modified or corrupted than older or it was a factory defect and it was fixed in newer release but the latter is unlikely.

Also I found that this file LTDLL.DLL is related to SafeDisc LT copy protection system, and this error "Media Authentication Failed" often occurs with other MS software of that time, for example with Zoo Tycoon. So maybe even that first image just was original, since it causes an error, and the second patched. If so then better to upload orginal image and add to it separately patched file.

Btw, this error happens only when installing from CD. If just unpack image and install from folder, this error not happens, since LTDLL.DLL file in this case apparently is not involved.

This image in .mdf format, not in .nrg and ISO can be easily extracted from it with help of ISO Buster (CD / Extract CD <Image> / User Data).

xpclient wrote:

Actually it's not necessary to keep image in .mdf format as this error not depend from it, so maybe better to reupload it on FTP in usual ISO format.

But stop, seems that it's not on the ftp. At least, I don't see it. :?

Where exactly? I can't find...
