Hi,
I expect this has already been posted on this forum at least once, but I can't find it in the thread containing the list of game betas. It's a highly compressed pack (archives inside archives inside archives which can all be extracted thoroughly with WinRAR) containing a collection of pre-release Half-Life 2 leaks from 2003. In the pack is the famous WC mappack in full (this was what I was searching for when I discovered this), and also the entire Source Engine and pre-release Half-Life 2 source code, ready to be compiled in Visual Studio 6 using the included .BAT files created by the Valve developers. VMFs for what seem to be all the Half-Life Source and Counter-Strike Source maps are also in there. Working and compiled Source SDK tools can also be found with a bit of digging.
But there's a slightly more unusual gem hidden in there too. The very early Team Fortress 2 executables, libraries, tools and source code are also included. Unfortunately, there are no models, materials, sounds, or other artwork for the early game, so it isn't exactly playable.

Actually there are two models from TF2 "invasion" stage in the leaked Counter-Strike: Source alpha, several textures too and some of the sounds that TF2 was to use can be found in Half-Life 2. As for everything else that's missing it can easily be replaced using assets from Half-Life 2.

No there was a TF2 archive posted by Eric or something which was never downloaded completely. People extracted a v36 model viewer and those model from the incomplete archive.

I can assure you, the archive is a fake. If it was real it would be just as common, if not more common than the HL2 leak itself. Those 2 v36 models were originally leaked with the HL1 ports (found in the CS folder), and the model viewer is either fan made (compiled from the HL2 source) or taken from the HL1 ports.

Odd I was pretty sure about it, people were talking a lot about it back in the day. Also the reason that the archive is sparse is due to it being very incomplete as the only seed of it left.

And if you are referring to the TF2 files included in that download, I thought it was clear that the files are not exactly able to be run as a game, as vital things are missing from the archive that would be required to make the game, you know, work and all.

Cyber, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Download with Filefactory Basic" or something to that effect. Remember, you will not be able to play this.
