I should have backed up my config files as well since yesterday I deleted all my widgets and the most recent backup for my Plasma config files is April 2010.

My important stuff barely takes up 15GB, so there isn't that much to back up. But usually at least once every two months, maybe earlier when I do complete maintenance.

I now have a clone of my hard drives stored on my server. I backed up all my files a *gasp* 90 Gb. compared to the 380 of my desktop. I at least have a copy somewhere...

Server one automatically backs up to its 2TB internal drive all my computers back up to my backup server, which then backups up to it's 1TB internal drive works very well

Just backed up my whole home directory to the second hard drive and the external hard drive, copied important stuff to my notebook, my mom‘s PC as well and the USB stick and copied the most important things to my smartphone as well. Hope this‘ll do it

I have you beat, 265 Gb of stuff. I am getting myself a personal server on Friday and I will probably put my 120 Gb, 2 40s and a 60 Gb drive into it ans backup only the important data. (It is a Dell Precision 210, the first Precision model ever!)

Just backed up about 300gb to external HDD (500gb Buffalo 2.5inch thing)
Man that took a while! I do it every 2 months (or when i'm home from Uni) Therefore I do keep offsite backup lol

Offsite backup is probably the smartest way to back up because when disaster strikes and you have the computer and the backups in one place you'll lose everything.

Yep, always good. My parents back up like every week or 2. Everything (except photos which are backed up periodically as they are on 3 computers anyway) fits on 1 CD-RW 650mb They were the days when all had small amount of files. Stupidly they keep the backup copy in the cupboard Next to the computer

Hang on, that is a a Pentium III machine usually having an 800mhz chip(s) in it. Isn't it!?
I'm sorry but it isn't the first precision model. I own a Dell Precision model 400. It is a dual Pentium II with a limit of 66mhz FSB, currently has two 333 Mhz cpu's in it with 256 mb of EDO RAM in it. Scsi HD's and a PCI Radion 7000 video card. It was a nice poiece of kit but why oh why didn't they use a chipset available at the time (1997) that used AGP!? It was such a graphics orientated workhorse!? Why no AGP!? I payed 120 Euros in 2006 for the old girl
