Whoo boy. That's a real non-square Start menu.

I'll install it once I reboot into OS X and start up my Win7 VM.

You replace the files as they are in the zip file.

Say for example you use x64.

Extract x64\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll to C:\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll

You need to take ownership and then grant yourself the extra permissions. I think there's automated tools out there to do this.

Has anyone else successfully installed this theme? I tried taking ownership of the required files but Windows tells me that I do not have permission to do so.

That's too old, you need minimum 10.04 (better 10.10).

For those file you need to make yourself Owner of the files, after that you can modify the permissions.

Why would he need 10.04? 6.06 should mount just fine, if not one can always boot another live distro from USB.
