@jamieostrich: we have the same background.

Do you mean the school one, or the laptop one?

It's not a build number,it's just a message that appears only on afternoons that says "This copy of Windows is not Genuine"

Well, I'm the guy who wrote The Key Keeper... so its icon is quite familiar to me.

Well, those 2 things can easily be fixed, just hack the BIOS password (if any) and install XP, and you can also get a 3G internet thingy.

and done, you can watch all the por* you want, and go on facebook and miniclip

That's not 100% true. Ok, the part of the BIOS password and install then an OS is correct, but it's not 100% sure that you then go to every site. It's maybe possible that there is an device before the gateway (e.g. forefront) that blocks the sites ...

Install XP stock and you will get into quite a lot of trouble - they will find you. Also, the blocks are through an ifl.net proxy [here it's proxy.staffs.ifl.net], and there's no internet access without that proxy, on any system. That can't be disabled anyway on the restricted desktops.

I know a bit about CC3 from various sources IRL :)

I don't see anything strange. Just a Vista transformated XP.

Lol yup that's XP. Also by the fact that Vista's task manager has the Resource Monitor on the performance tab :)

You'd be suprised how many people I've fooled with this ;)

Its only the start/task bar that looks like vista

Well, if I wanted to suck up all of my 512MB of RAM I could run True Transparency, which would give it Aero-like features, but i think It just looks like if you set Vista to opaque black windows (I've done it on my Win7 desktop). There is also a free application for 7/Vista that lets you turn off the 'reflection' around the windows. Perhaps I should make Vista look like a Vista-ized XP :P

TrueTransparency is pretty shoddy.

No doubt the people you've fooled are the same people that "hate" Vista, but have never actually used it and so can't tell it apart from a low-quality fake.

It's a Dell Latitude D600. Fantastic machine. Radeon 9000m, 250GB HDD, 1GB RAM, Gigabit ethernet, the works!
You can bet on it changing soon, though ;)
