It is possible to get these onto an EPROM, onto a board, into a cart and into your Console but its complicated to say the least...

This one should support all kinds of games/demos just fine.

Anyway, making your own cart is really simple if the game doesn't use any external fluff.
It's basically a 4k ROM and any larger games rely on bank switching.
That ROM gets (almost?) directly routed to the pcb pins that go to the cartridge slot. Really basic stuff.
