So I thought i'd ask this for fun. What do you consider the geekiest thing you've ever purchased, computing or not?

I would consider my geekiest purchase to date to be my Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber and my Jedi Robe, which I am currently wearing as I type this :P So what about you? And be honest! We're all friends here!

When I bought an iPhone for $10. No, it's not a typo.

Can you sell it to me for $20 then? My geekiest purchase are all kind of old MS programming suites. I got loads of them at home. Considering some kind of museum in the future. :P

A book on Windows 2000 Active Directory. The school library gave it to me for free. It's a bit big and boring, but I do know a bit more about AD now.

I think I've bought at least 3 releases of Jaws, one of them I bought just because it was a rather old VHS from when it was still rated PG

Macintosh Portable for $20 last year. Great condition with full manuals, case, and surprisingly, battery still holds a charge. Had to supply my own power cord and OS though. I later realized that I just purchased something likely worth a few hundred dollars on eBay.

...It sat in the attic for 18 years since it's owner upgraded to a PowerBook 100 to save his back...

Also bought a "Legally Blonde" (Orange) style iBook G3 the day after, not in as good condition. (Someone upgraded it to Panther)

If you mean computer "geek(y)" then it's probably a few Xeon processors.
Otherwise, it'd be the 250 packs of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans I ordered :D

I will, depending on my free times. Right now I'm quite busy and waiting for the MSDN binder (with discs obviously) to get shipped today.

Lucky you. Even though my crazy level is as high as you, I didn't have money to spend on it. :(
