Yes it is. That happens when tray application or service that depends on notificating the Windows Security Center in WinXP was force killed. That application/service has privileges to restart after unexpected shutdown. In Windows 2k3 compatible Operating Systems, which contain Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP, force killed application, that works with tray, after its unexpected shutdown still leave icon the in the tray.

It is genuine. That somehow happened in my office's PC (XP preinstalled by Lenovo), when I was playing cards. I just finished playing Solitaire, and then started Hearts, when Solitaire's cards were still falling. This has never happened before and after this time.
