Looking very good there Daniel :)

How long have you been developing this?

Is it on Linux kernel, or DOS?

I developed this operating system for one month, and I'm continuing to develop this every single day.. The kernel is a custom kernel I developed.. But if I get you right, then my kernel is a DOS kernel, not a linux kernel.

So it (theoretically) can run DOS apps, yes?

Yes.. Although I didnt try to run any dos apps...

Currently I'm looking for more staff members to continue develop this OS, so if someone here wants to join, leave here a message with your CodePlex username, and I will add those who want as developers.

But, do you have any suggestions about what to implement next?

Maybe you can add a SDK with the standart headers and maybe some graphical gadgets.

I'm planning to first finish the kernel (i.e. working multi-tasking and full user-mode), after that to build a basic UI, and only after this will be done, I'm planning to create the SDK..

Can you release the binary format you used?
Is it a PE/COFF or ELF based format?

PE based format..
Look I'm using the MS build app, that's why the file generated is in the MS format and using the DOS PE format..

I uploaded a new release adding a fully operative memory manager and many bug fixes (the full list is in the project's page).

You can now get this release (build 28, the previous was build 26c).

Please test this release and give any comments to improve the system.

Well, I'm looking for developers and testers.. Does someone here interested?

With some more team members this OS can be much better.

I would be willing to test. Maybe develop. Do you need anything specifically tested?

You know, test the overall system. Plus if you can develop some code, for example a dir command could be a nice addition :)

I opened a new site for HeinanOS (Forum based), there you can actively participating in HeinanOS development by commenting there, open new topics about features you will like to see in HeinanOS next builds.

Its address is http://heinanos.ios.st

Yes, you know.. FAT12 is used as the floppy file system.

Anyway, developing an OS from scratch is a lot more fun then changing some strings in Windows :P

i will test it. I'm not good in programing... But it will be nice if someone can make a graphical interface (like Windows 1.0 or 2.0)

At first I need to finish the core OS components, only after that the UI will be upgraded.
