A group at haloMaps.org has nearly replicated the New Mombosa map, but not the AI or it yet for Halo CE (halo2 development is pretty far as well, but I haven't played the H2 version in a while)

I got an EXE of Halo Combat Evolved that you can install for free without a key. If anyone wants it. It works really well. I can't find and Halo 2 Demos, and I love custom edition but it always caused problems for me.

God, Halo's like a kids game! And this Halo 2 Pre-Release may have been worse, it looks so damn childish.
Can't you stop flaming people? He likes Halo, so what? I also enjoy Halo, I find the storytelling riveting and the plot exciting. Live and let live, buster brown.

Halo 1 (imo) is the best of the Master Chief trilogy. The weapons weren't overpowered, the Flood as a huge twist (which they sadly weren't able to recreate in H2/3 because we knew about them), and the nice simple (but awesome) combinations of enemies (Elites, Grunts, Jackals and Hunters. None of these Brutes\Drones\etc).
And it's not about if the H2 E3 demo was childish or not (if blood on every floor is childish, then I guess Mario is obsolete), it was just really different to the retail New Mombasa. Even though it was probably heavily scripted, I would still like to play it. The WIP engine, the old level and the story is all great to me

Someone uploaded a video of a multiplayer beta being played, it probably is expired and only worked with Xbox live so it wouldn't work today but the UI was slightly different and had some features that were only seen later on in Halo 3 such as Theater. I don't know if this beta build was ever privately traded....

In order to get the betas I have to buy a xbox dev. kit from him, (about $500 :/) and purchase the discs individually ($100 each ) I know he has them, as he sent me screenshots (I was going to buy it)

First I'd have him show proof of him having the dev kit running the Halo 2 beta (unless thats what he showed you) and second this will be the Multiplayer beta as this is what has leaked to some people with some nice contacts. But the Multiplayer beta is quite significant if you actually give it to the community for people to have as its probably something thats quite important in the Halo community

Wow I am really interested about this Halo 2 E3 demo. I have always wanted to play it. I was always frustrated that the final game did not include that chunk of gameplay! Too bad those posts above were from quite some time ago. I'm guessing you never bought the discs since we haven't seen the game posted anywhere else on the site (if I'm not mistaken)...

Only good HALO is halo 2 on the original xbox. It was actually fun. The first was boring, and 3 was boring, and dont get me started on how bad the other one was. (forgot the name). Im more of a call of duty gal.

That's what we call highly subjective. Personally I found Halo 1 to be the strongest of the series and Halo: Reach a close second. Halo 2 was merely okay.

Halo 2 had amazing multiplayer. I bought an Xbox because of it, after trying it at a friend's. A handful of friends and I are avid Bungie fans and we all got together and would play H2 every night for months... probably my favorite time ever in any multiplayer gaming, really. Crazy intense and too fun to describe! hehe
So.. in addition to that, and the obvious super awesomeness of the E3 demo... it's obvious how much I'd love to have a copy of that. However, I don't see it ever happening as I've heard repeatedly that it has never been leaked at all
