Favourite OS OS 9, System 6.0.8, Ubuntu 11.10
so today I decided to be geeky and install BURG bootloader using the super boot manager app for ubuntu. after a bit of tweaking i got it working. so what do you prefer? Visual (BURG) or text (GRUB).

I have never used anything but grub, what do you think of BURG ? I used to have some animated TUX penguins on a old PCLinuxOS install but that's it. I just looked at a few screenshots of BURG and it looks pretty nice, especially the the refit (showing folding menu) to me.

after you get it installed and configured properly for you monitor (for those who have laptops with a 1633 x 768 resolution I suggest using 1024 x 768 for BURG) it works great.

I liked GRUB when it was still in it's legacy years. GRUB2 is just plain crap; making new boot entries/configuring existing ones is a real pain. They also changed the boot parameters, so you can't use any of the options that used to work on GRUB Legacy.
As for BURG, I like the idea of a visualized GRUB for beginners, but I prefer the black/white text version.
