Windows 8 M2 build 7955 (so far)
Well I currently have installed 64bit windows 7 and like an idiot i downloaded 32bit windows 8. and after i mounted it i got an error.

so i was like ohh damn. that took 2 hours to download. not downloading 64bit now. so i looked in the sources folder and found Setup.exe.

if you click on this then there you have it, it starts to proceed the installation. :D

sorry about the gyazo links but i dont have anything to capture and upload screenies any faster.
hope you all found this helpful. as i couldnt find this info anywhere else.

Booting from installation disk and begin setup is always a good choice.

my usb stick corrupts large files so no matter how many times i try the wim gets messed up.
and i dont have any dvd's hangin around so i choose to isntall from inside windows. i always have. but this is a new laptop its running 64bit im always using 32 bit thats why i accidently downloaded 32 bit. 8-)

Well you cant bypass this. If you have 32bit W7, you can only install 32bit W8 through Win7.

Slightly off-topic, but if you're having these problems you've either got a fake USB drive i.e. it's reporting a larger capacity then it has or the drive is on it's way out. Either way I would recommend you purchase a new USB drive, you know it's going to fail at the worst possible time :P
