This disc looks fake to me.

  • Label looks to be a printer label, not a pressed label
  • Why would RTM Escrow builds claim "Includes Windows Anytime Upgrade"?
  • Windows 7 7264 was compiled in 2009, so why is the copyright date 2008? It might make sense if this were the Developer Preview build and not an RTM Escrow build.
  • The spacing in between each letter of "Windows 7" is off
  • "Ultimate" isn't aligned properly with "Windows 7" and appears to be printed in the wrong font
  • Why specify that the contents of the disc are 64-bit twice on the label?

Where do you want to go today?

Favourite OS
All Microsoft operating systems!
Also, most official Windows pre-release CD-ROMs (with a notable exception being some of the later Windows 95 beta and release candidate CD-ROMs) did not note the build number on them, but rather just a generic release title such as "Beta 1", "Beta 2", "Release Candidate 1", etc...

what a funny!

Microsoft never distributed preliminary builds on CD or DVD.

Yes, this is a pretty obvious fake.
