Does Chicago Build 56 have timebomb ?

IIRC, Chicago builds (the early ones at least) don't have timebombs. I could be wrong, though.

Chicago 56 don't have a timebomb and if you have new suggestions about MCB, you can contact Rob for that.

timebomb on Windows 95 started on build 189 IIRC

use Virtual PC 2007 on your new PC, install it via the CD drive on a MS-DOS 6.22 bootdisk (make sure the MINI and PLUS directories are there and from 58s), begin the setup with dossetup, and disable Hardware Virtualization to make it boot.

I do exactly this but in VBox.
And what PC do you mind? I have 1 PC [Now Repairing It] and 2 notebooks.

for new PC, I mean your Windows 7 x64 PC.

Get over it, that's the only way you can install Chicago builds using virtualization software.

And build 122 ?
It looks a lot better than 56.

The reason it isn't working in vbox is because old builds of Chicago etc won't work in it, only in vpc...

Again, use Virtual PC 2007.

For Build 122, use QEMU manager and not Virtual PC cause it doesn't boot in normal mode.
For QEMU Manager, set the CPU to either 486 or Pentium and install as you would do in any Windows 95 build.
If you want sound working there, use the 386, VXD, DRV files from KenOath's VHD and, after you installed the one from the original ISO, copy all the drivers from KenOath's VHD to your VMDK (make sure it is VMDK and not qemu's format) and get the file cspman.dll from KenOath's VHD and put it in your VMDK.
For higher resolutions, use the Universal VESA Driver (VBEMP x86) for Windows 9x.

*ahem* Build 122 does work in Normal mode under Virtual PC 2007 as I've already shown you.

for me about KenOath's VHD only does sometimes, for the rest it doesn't.
Anyways I suggest everyone use QEMU instead of Virtual PC for the best perfonance, on QEMU you don't have to apply fixes to make it boot in normal mode.

Actually build 122 works fine in Virtual PC 2004/2007 but for higher resolutions use QEMU (Manager).

i got a problem with build 122 (the iso not the vhd) when i try to install it on virtualbox i get this message just when it about to coipy files

"general error 57 cannot read setup files media may be damaged please contract beta administrator"

i got 500mb IDE hdd and i have fdisk and format the drive

You provided the wrong key & beta site ID.

for me it really doesn't boot in normal mode on Virtual PC 2007, not even KenOath's VHD, but on QEMU it works A LOT better than any other emulator for me.

not being off-topic, but still related to Chicago, the copy of Chicago Build 81 on the FTP is broken, the fixed one from KenOath isn't there.

thanks that one works setup went smoothly except for a file it couldn't copy called banana.ini or something am on the desktop now and i sent the ftp admin a pm with highlights the problem with the incorrect serial
