There was a nice joke about WiFi AP names too.

Names like:
- "1$ per minute"
- "Coffee not included: 50 cents per minute"
- etc

As it happens, there are less people trying to connect to it as they fear they are gonna get charged money .

Whenever I use my phone's Wifi hotspot feature (Android and unlimited Internet ftw.) I always set its name to "your kids are noisy" or "stop the f[censored] noise".

Actually this is illegal. According to an US law, copyrights only expire after 80 years, thing is the developers don't care about these builds and abandonwares anymore.

If we're talking about large corporations like Microsoft, they still care, especially if you sold any of their products. I seem to remember that a user on The Vintage Computer was explicitly told something like "No, you WILL NOT distribute our software" for something as old as Microsoft BASIC.

However, we're not selling anything, and we're not truly freely distributing anything (although it's close to that).

That SSID I posted disappeared a while ago, and I got a proper router, means I can now...



(I kept the SSID and WPA keys from my old router so I don't have to go through reconfiguring a wifi-enabled HDTV through the controller... painful, trust me)

The funniest ones are when they aren't encrypted and are called thing like: The (name of family), My Wifi, My Internet, ect.

Just tells you how stupid some people really are.
