Not really, not if you knew a friend of mine, he had x4, 21 inch LCD monitors, 3 desktop PCs, 2 laptops, a netbook and a server and his main PC case was so full of lights (cathodes and light up fans), it looked like a disco in there when it got dark. He ran up a lot of electricity bill (one was over £400 alone for his computers in a month) and then he was living with his parents and they got really upset and banned him using all that stuff and had to stick to one PC, server and two monitors. His desk was starting to look like something out of NASA, he even had a Cisco router in his room.

I think I might use the most electricity in the house because I've got 2 computers that are never off.
My desk also looks like something out of NASA with the monitor, stereo tuner, tape deck, 6 CD changer, 6 speakers, 2 keyboards (one USB and one XT or what ever it is) and all the assorted computer parts laying around. I've got to find the camera battery charger and take a newer picture.

Computers don't use as much as you think. In 1 month my server uses £10 of electricity and it's on 24/7. My desktop only uses twice as much power as the server but that's only on 1/4 the time the server is.

Your right. It could have been his phone line as well and his internet costs as well

That's not a mess, mine's worse I guarantee but I can't take a picture because my camera isn't working again (need to take it apart and check the image sensor).
