Windows Phone UI looks terrible... Symbian.
You're definitely in the minority there. Symbian has tanked, and with good reason.
I'll be getting a WP8 device. My Lumia 800 is getting replaced this November. As much as I have some reservations about the changes (I vastly prefer the 7.5 to the 7.8/8.0 home screen), neither of the alternatives - iOS or Android - appeal to me in the slightest. So WP8 it is.

I'd buy a Windows Phone 8 if I had any money. As it is, I'll stick with my Zune HD.

I don't want to waste money for another WP device, i know since now that Windows Phone 8 will be abandoned just like WP7 , so i'll stick with my nice and fast Acer Allegro with WP 7.5 (i'll upgrade to 7.8 of course) , it has got all i need (except bluetooth -.-'')

Acer Allergo? We don't have that here in the UK.

I'm currently rolling with my First WP7 Device and it's a Nokia Lumia 710
If A Custom ROM Comes Out For My Lumia That Allows WP8 To Be Installed Then Yes, I Would Install It.
What a coincidence, I would do the same thing and also, got a Lumia 710 just now
You made a very good decision! Hopefully there will be a custom ROM.

You know you can just set the tile size to the Windows Phone 7 Default (Medium) right?

I'll be getting a WP8 device if Verizon gets something decent this time. Their current offering is a single device, and it's not that great. Also, I'll be buying it outright and activating it myself, so that I can keep my unlimited data (unless I can convince my family to switch away from Verizon and to some other company like T-Mobile)

The Acer has been sold in the UK, but not bundled as part of a contract or subsidised in any way, so it wasn't particularly price-competitive.
The tile-size thing is a per-tile setting - I hope you'll be able to force a default tile size, but I've not seen anything to suggest either way. Plus the black strip down the right goes either way, and I liked having that there. It's changes like these that concern me, because they go against Metro. There's a whole host of things like that in Windows 8 as well, where adherance to Metro has been abandoned in favour of something "simpler" or "more customisable".

I use low-end phones, so not for a long time.
