My dream PC would have to have a Intel Core i7 2600 3.4GHz with dual NVidia GTX 590's with 16GB of RAM. (LED Lights also) But that would be awesome.

For me it would be the most powerful computer in the world and would make me the one ruler of the world able to control everything as we know it! I would end world hunger and bring peace to my empire, spreading it out into the starts meeting alien races and making them bow before me!! Mwahahaha!!

But that's never going to happen...

Intel Core i7-3960X, 32 gigs of RAM, 512 GB SSD, 3x AMD Radeon 7970 in CrossfireX,...
Real, but expensive as hell

- Dual 512GB SSD/Quad 2TB HDD 7200 rpm
- 3x nVidia GeForce GTX 680

Where do you want to go today?

Favourite OS
All Microsoft operating systems!
How about this:

A quad core setup with four processors overclocked to run at 10 or 15 Ghz (with proper cooling that is)
256 GB of RAM (formed by soldering many different RAM modules together by hand)
10 1 TB hard drives
As many different types of removable storage as possible
All versions and builds of each and every Microsoft operating system and product available.

Sounds to me like a modern day mainframe in the form of a desktop system in terms of power and speed!

Well, without a graphics card it would. I would put some of the latest Radeon 7970's in Crossfire in there. And make sure the hard drives are solid state and the ram is 2600mhz!

The best computer I've ever used was:
2.93Ghz Core 2 Duo
4gb Ram
500GB Hard drive
Radeon HD 3450.

And it did more than I need out of a computer. With that in mind, I want a

3Ghz Core 2 Quad or 4.2Ghz i7
16GB Ram
1TB Hard drive and 120GB SSD
Radeon 6990 2GB Dual/Geforce GTX 680

How about something else more possible:
A DEC Alpha Server, one capable of running NT for Alpha.

That or an IBM Thinkpad 800 series, one of the PowerPC ones.
