I used nowadays to make backups often, especially after working hardly on project/application or downloading stuff no longer will be available in short time :)

I only backup my server data files, 160GB of data, which is done automatically by a cron job every 12 hours
When i get a 2TB hdd (nearly brought one a week ago, but i got this instead) im gonna backup all my computers every 24hours over network

Who has a server to do/host backups?

In a house of six and data is getting harder and harder to manage with so many computers and mobile devices.. my old desktop is sitting idle too so it wouldn't hurt to fill it with hard drives.. Sempron 2600 @ 1.6ghz/1.5GB RAM is enough.. right?

That's a good server there for files, I used a 600 MHz Celeron with 256 megs of ram and 4x 8 gig SCSI drives for a while and it handled fine, even with it's low amount of space (it's needless to say it had only docs and powerpoints). I'm using a Athlon FX-53 now and it's been running strong for almost a year now.

I almost never back up. I didn't even do a NANDroid backup of my phone before I installed CyanogenMod 7.1 on it.
Thanks for the reminder! I'm backin' up right now!

Well, my photoshop computer doesn't get backed up but I know that RAID isn't a backup but it's in a destructible RAID 5 array so I have disk failure solved but not disaster protection as in fire or what not.

Haaah... back ups...

I upload my programs to the cloud, the source code is backed up in a external hard disk... when I remember...

I don't really do backups seriously. I upload to dropbox what I really need, a letter from Microsoft CEO, things like that, nothing else.

Just yesterday... I have a nice IoMega ix-200 that I'm going to convert to the cloud edition (with a little tweak in the firmware), so backed up all my retro-press issues to another disks.

I don't pick favorites.
I don't back up stuff of mine, because the things I have that are important are already on several different devices, which means they're technically already backed up.

I never back up. Whatever is important to me, I either remember it, or have it in Dropbox.

Had to back some bits up a few days ago. I'm probably backing things up more frequently these days than usual...

Nobody has posted here a while, so...

My PC recently self-destructed, and thankfully I had a backup. Horaay, the world is saved from my wrath!

So if you haven't backed up lately, BACK UP! You never know when essential Windows components will corrupt themself and blow up your entire computer. ^^

I've almost never backed up. I've moved a few programs to an external drive to save space on my main drive, but besides that, nothing.

Does nobody use tape-drives, they're very efficient backup means.
