I've had a lot of time on my hands since schools out , so I started on a new project. It is called "Mondo™". Currently I have 1 "program" ready for Mondo™ (looks better with "™"): Notepad. The design is based on Metro/Windows 8, but there is still "chrome".
Download
Mondo™ is currently in development. It is built in PowerPoint only to showcase ideas for an OS GUI. Although, one could use it as a "lite" OS for PowerPoint . The link will open in the Office Web apps, but it is best if opened in PowerPoint 2010. The login password is: "password". Mondo Alpha 0.3

Oh, you're the guy who made this, very well done. I quite like your style, it's heavily inspired by Windows 8 but still shows some good ideas, like the choice of colors and images. The only thing I can't stand is the "overlapped" text on system loading and notepad screen. It's not really pleasing nor makes sense in any way. You should always work for improved readability of text.
Besides that, keep up the good work. I hope you'll find a way to take this nice stuff out of Powerpoint too (e. g. as a Metro customization).

I like the overlaps. It provides a sense of three-dimensionality without sacrificing the Metro style.

I must be jaded, but is this a PowerPoint OS in essence because you designed the UI in PowerPoint? You do know that Operating Systems involve a lil bit more than a functional GUI right? What is your plan for kernels, subsystems, use of drivers, filesystem?

LOL pointing out the obvious there (you need PowerPoint to open this...) And I think he knows what an operating system is, as he stated this:

The sliding was initially cool, but in the end its a bit slow. I don't know what overlapping text there was supposed to be in the notepad thing, although some of the text was too big for the area (so only half was displayed). Cool, but I'm not sure of the usefulness of this, although these types of things are fun to make.

What a good job! Very interesting.
I've got some problems, though. Is the calculator functioning? It doesn't seem to work. BTW is it possible to disable mouse scroll (but it could still work within the browser), when I use the browser I quite often get switched to the next slide.

Calculator functioning. You probably need to allow Macros and ActiveX (and you need to open it in PowerPoint, not run from browser).

You took official name for an serbian news portal which has copyright i think. http://www.mondo.rs/
Well, copyright actually protects just the web site itself and its contents. Furthermore trademark instead usually holds for product / company names of the same type. For example, if Ramireztime created a news site named Mondo he could have some trouble with those guys, but as long Mondo is an OS he shouldn't worry for that. Also, Mondo it's not an original word, it's just the Italian for "world". I'm not sure if Ramireztime already knew it, but this makes it a pretty cool name...

Never mind that it's the name of a new app in Office 15...
