Im about to be acquiring a netbook like computer called a "SAMSUNG SMARTBOOK" for free, however i have NO idea what any of it is, due to the fact that i cant find anything on the net related to a samsung smartbook. Anyone have one?

It sounds like - if I'm getting at the right products - one of those cruddy Windows CE-based netbooks with a Samsung ARM processor in it.

Yea i should get it. Right now it dont have an OS installed he says. Just boots to bios, says no operating system installed. OEM is samsung, the sticker on the bottom says "Created for Windows Embedded Compact 7. DO NOT REMOVE STICKER or warranty will be void".



UPDATE: Going to pick the netbook up. Wish me luck. Hope it has an ARM processor, so i can install windows 8.

If it has an ARM processor, you won't be able to install Windows 8.

This. If it has no OS, you either need to install one of the Embedded versions or a Linux distro that supports ARM.
