I think the easiest way is getting a cheap second hand xbox (but possibly with no rrod ecc. problems) for 70-100 € I think or a new one for 150€ and the game... at least you have the console and you can play also other games... I know you have to spend money, but I have an xbox and trust me it's a well spent cash if you love videogames and don't want to upgrade your pc every 2 months to keep with gaming standards or even if you are an occasional player and don't want to have your hdd filles with games you use rarely...

Im pretty sure the source code and a dev kit is required right? Plus devs dont ever usually do anything for there fans unless they actually care. Which most devs dont care for fans. The only devs ive seen to care for fans and do things for them are Insomniac Games, who developed the first Spyro trilogy and the ratchet games.

Some people really do lack common sense, don't they? Do you seriously think a developer that has made enough money is going to take his time and port the code to a PC for free just willynilly? It'd require more work than what most people think, last I checked the XBOX 360 had different APIs to that of a Windows-based PC, not just a different architecture. Go buy an XBOX360 or pay the developer to port the game, it's obvious said developer is not bothered about conquering the PC market.

I'm not form US, and where I live (Italy) the second hand market is not yet much developed as everyone prefers to keep it's stuff instead of selling it even if they have upgraded Anyway, we have GameStop stores where you can trade used games and consoles for a reasonable price or online websites such as ebay are a good help too... you can alway give a look and you may find something good, don't give up your search because these consoles are getting cheaper with time... (in no more that 2 years the new xbox should be out) As you don't have 18 years, while waiting to get your hands on the game, I suggest you to play some classics of the past you probably don't know: download some NES, SNES or N64 emulator and enjoy 8, 16, 64 bit games... I had them in my childhood but I love them still now so you may give a try...

Really stupid question... Really... Do you actually think they would be happy to just hand out the source-code which contains all their hard work and "secrets" to someone they hardly even know? I know I wouldn't and having had recently spent a lot of time trying to get the Prey 1998 source-code out in the open I can tell you it's no simple task due to the fact that you'll most likely have to get permission from some hugely obscure company for permission who would only care if it means they'll gain a profit from it and on top of that the developers would no doubt be under a non-disclosure agreement meaning that they are not permitted to distribute confidential work (such as the source-code). It's also worth telling you that porting a game takes a lot of work and dedication, especially if you're planning on porting it to PC due to the largely different hardware and different drivers that computers use which means you'll most likely need to buy quite a few different machines to test it on as you work which having had some experience doing myself I can also tell you that this is expensive and tiresome, you'll need to test the same things again on different hardware making sure that everything works like it should, make any necessary changes that you need to, then compile it and test it all again then repeat, and it won't be any easier when you get other people to start testing it for you.
