Those of us on the US east coast will be facing Hurricane Irene this weekend end. According to all the talking heads on TV our lives may end by Monday, maybe Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest, or not.

Hurricane != Death

Either evacuate or find sufficient shelter, if you do this properly then there's a good chance you'll be completely fine. The people who die are the ones whose shelter is insufficient against a hurricane and is therefore crushed, and the ones who are outside and unlucky (be it for watching the action recklessly or just being dumb).

I was making fun of the weather people on TV, you'd think we never saw a storm here before. This is my 67th year on the east coast, ain't dead yet......

After 21 December 2012 will come another hoax probably for 2012 + 6 = 2018 and so on...
