@prayaas1998: that and more is comming in the next build.
Anyway, as linuxlove said, any issues with PDS should be adressed to him, he did all the code and most of UI, I just made some changes to the UI so it's a bit more "organized".

BTW, the PDS is really good. But DeFacto, you really should learn from prayaas1998 on the setup. His screenshots are better than yours.

I suppose you need an installer for a browser, but I personally prefer to just have it as a portable app, since its only one .exe and one .dll anyway (plus a few registry keys I guess but still). And yeah, the hounsell's registry keys sure worked well.
For a temp. Stopped project this thread is quite active

linuxlove demoted and left -didn't realise until I read smartboyhw's somewhat offensive post. Sad. EDIT: Found info here. And I'll

Hey, DeFacto, you should add an option to put the Poseidon browser to the desktop and the quick access bar..... It doesn't do good when I have to go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Poseidon Browser to add the Poseidon.exe to the desktop...

................. What? You mean that we should actually dump the PDS??? BTW, DeFacto, you should really give options to people, e.g. YES/NO to create shortcuts...

No, I'm saying if you're not satisfied (most of the time you aren't) with PDS, then use the portable version. Please consider inserting the following fact into your head:
-This is pre-release software, nowhere near the final product, of course it will change to better

Just a suggestion on the options one. Anyway, I will be waiting for you for Build 44.

Splash screen is a dumb thing to have in a browser, hence why all major browser dropped it long ago. It slows down the startup and adds no functionality to the program itself... Hence why I didn't bother making one and never will. It is simply against the basic principles of Metro (simple, clean, modern)...

OK everybody, the project is back in action. I decided to shorten the development process, so builds 44 and 47 that were scheduled for release after 40 and are part of Alpha 1 stage will be skipped, instead we're moving directly onto Alpha 2 with it's first build 50. Please note that in the future I will avoid Alpha 1 & 2 stages competely to speed up the dev process.
Anyway, since I'm back working on Poseidon, here' what's comming in build 50:
Two new color options (purple and turquoise)
Setup Assistant improvements
Settings dialog improvements
WebM HTML5 Codec is displayed among other extensions
Fixed bug when re-opening from tray icon (window now maximizes)
Some context menu updates are now enabled and working
