Well, well, well, poor us, we now lost Poseidon for some time. Hope DeFacto will re-activate the project in 2012....
EDIT: Acid3 100/100, Acid2 passed, but then the HTML5 test....

I don't know if these tests really need to be run on a browser thats still in the Alpha stage, since there are probably other things to do. But I suppose HTML5 support needs to be worked on.

Peacekeeper test results.... GREAT! Poseidon is a good HTML5 browser!!! Why did DeFacto ever abandon the project? Maybe we should continue the project on our own!!!!!!

Actually, it's just a wrapper for your Internet Explorer.

He did not abandon the project, it hasn't even been a day since he said he was temp. stopping work on it...

Thats sort of what I was thinking with all the tests smartboyhw is doing, but hounsell's little tweak did fix Acid3, so its kind of like Poseidon isn't using the trident engine 100% properly.

Guys, the Peacekeeper test shown it IS really a bit behind IE... The HTML5 test results were devastating.... DeFacto should really try to develop in HTML5.

Do you know how to do that? Maybe DeFacto knows how to, and maybe he will do it in the future. But just now now, he has temporarily stopped development.

"developing in" and "developing for" are two totally different things. "developing in" means writing something in HTML that's compliant with the HTML5 standard, not "developing for" which is to write something that understands and runs HTML5 properly.
Trying to correct the "problem" is going to be next to impossible since we don't have the Trident source code. It's not like a few points makes any difference, right?

Yeah, at first I actually thought he was suggesting DeFacto actually rewrite Poseidon in HTML5 But it was clear enough what he meant.
I think the point was to get little tweaks like Hounsell did with the Acid3.

Also, because of everyone's overreaction to the TEMPORARY development halt of Poseidon (and because I'm bored): http://www.betaarchive.com/imageupload/2012-07/1342441202.or.65366.jpg Now shut up 'till DeFacto restarts development. Yes, I am in somewhat of a cranky mood this morning.
Thank you, Hounsell....Really good work... Okay Linuxlove.....Let's shut up

I had totally forgot that I had staged a coup, secured control of the site and made Andy my sockpuppet. Thanks for reminding me, what would I do without you?
Sadly, the admins of this site don't care much for some mod-on-mod action, so you're out of luck.

Oh wow, you two are both mods, for some reason I always thought Hounsell was one of the admins, and now looking at it Linuxlove has more posts than Hounsell as well, so whoops .

Fail you too, "is a moderator" not "is an moderator". Anyway, I would just like to point out that I didn't mean Hounsell should be Admin, or that Linuxlove isn't nice. Getting way offtopic

I have been here longer than linuxlove, and I have been a moderator much longer than linuxlove, so I could be considered the more senior moderator, but BA doesn't work like that.
Also, it pains me to have to explain humour, but I'm guessing you missed it because you're both new here.

This is not a condemnation of linuxlove's desire to post an image. It is a hyperbolic condemnation that he dared to make a spelling mistake whilst doing so. Think "Grammar Nazi".

The first part was entirely sarcastic, but at least you haven't taken that seriously.
Expressing dismay at the fact that our admins have no taste for mod-on-mod action is not signfying my dismay that I can't fire linuxlove. It's possible that you miss this reference to pornographic terminology because you're not a native english speaker.
For reference, I am quite happy with Linuxlove as a moderator. Indeed, I was most supportive of his appointment as moderator.

So your post was actually a joke... Kind of funny that me and smartboyhw completely mistook it as you moderating a moderator.

I didn't think we thought you were dismaying that you can't fire a mod, although I didn't think you could. I was just saying I thought you were a mod, and smartboyhw wanted you to be a mod (for some reason or another).
