Test is in an Virtual Machine first and if you like it, install it.
Most themes (like this one) needs the uxtheme.dll and some more files patched (there are installers/uninstallers for them), then for some themes it you need to patch it yourself (replacing .exe files). Some themes have an automated installer/uninstaller that does the work for you.

I don't really like transformation packs. They affect system files, tweak things in the os, consume resources, are hard to uninstall and may or may not have glitches on the UI. The choice is yours...

You are out of luck, the "Restore Windows to it's default settings" will be a feature of Windows 8.So if you want to do that you will have to wait till 2012.

Hold it guys. Try System Restore through Safe Mode (google it if you don't know what that is and how to get there). You might me able to uninstall it from there too if system restore fails again. Another solution would be to try using a third party uninstaller (google it as well).

Try restarting pc and press f8 on loading screen and select safe mode. Run a system restore from there. If that fails you will need to boot from vista (or windows 7) disk and delete all partitions and then re install OS from there. I don't really like or recommend transformation packs because they mess with important system files like Shell32.dll etc..

if had crash system recover from F8 or using the DVD installation disc.. yup those method are usefull.. but if in this case.. better makes restore point from "system Protection" then you are safely to use any transformation pack..
