Hi all,

Just downloaded "pctools" (the smallest version on the site) and my virus protection (ms security essentials) flagged it as a threat. Anyone else had this issue, is it a false positive?

Kindest regards
James

Their site fully suits for a rogue. I'm sure this is malware.

Oh, sorry, but I can't seem to find anything like that on the FTP.

If your talking about PC-Tools 4.11 (5ΒΌ), Your anti-virus is throwing up a false positive. Tested here, no warning tested with Virustotal (http://www.virustotal.com) and none of their anti-viruses found anything

All of our archives are thoroughly checked for problems, but we still recommend you scan it yourself. All files are provided as-is, so it's your risk if you use them.

Thanks for the replies,

No slight intended on the archives Andy, just wanted to check if I was getting a false positive I set my antivirus to its most sensitive settings.

Kindest regards
James
