When I didnt find a new(29022) WM 6.5 build for my phone I thought about the idea of using a reduced Windows mobile emulation on Linux. Wine code is easy to read and it wont need to use the full win32 API.

Ive been looking for something like Wine for CE on Android, or else something like Virtualbox that allows you to emulate any ARM based OS like Windows CE or Mobile.

As far as I know, Wine doesn't virtualize, but emulate. So in case of a mobile device, this will drain the battery, your phone case will be too hot, cause it consumes so much resources to run that "bloated" Android OS with widgets and all stuff, and emulate Windows CE at the same time. Remember, it's ARM, not x86.

In some cases, MIPS is even better for emulation, than ARM.

Well, no chances for Android (unless you get X Window to run natively and not in chroot).
Then again, I heard there's a binary available on the MeeGo repos, so N900 users should be pretty happy (heck, that's probably as close to linux as anyone could get on mobile devices, save from a direct arm port of Debian / Ubuntu / whatever).

Ubuntu now has an official ARM branch. Just for the record.
