Free Stuff Thread

Yeah, I'm horrible at maintaining this :P

Post any suggestions of things to be added to the list. I'll check them and update this list now that my life is slightly less hectic.

To be listed here, the object must:
  • Be Available World Wide (via download or shipped)
  • Ship for free to at least one country
  • Not require surveys to be filled out
  • Require as little personal information as possible

Free Games

Free Food

Other Free Stuff:

Updates
2012-11-08-0730 - Remade List Added stuff to the list.

Sorry.. In the process of deleting 25 spam I didn't unselect the sticky at the top. At least we can start afresh.

It just gives me a cookie error on every browser I've tried (Firefox and IE).

EDIT: If nobody else can get it to work I'll delete all posts associated with it in order to keep the thread clean.

Sort of free - Windows Small Business Server 2008
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/eval ... 84870.aspx

I say "sort of" because I'm getting charged for shipping; you may have better luck.
Why doesn't Microsoft put a cancel button on their order forms?

Well, it looks like that URL is an SID of sorts (as in it is generated for every computer). Anyways, here are links for XP SP3 on CD:

Derp, any of you got PS3s?

This: http://www.atmel.com/forms/Samples.asp?family_id=607
Plus this: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/tools ... ol_id=3879
Plus this: http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Hacks/psgroo ... -released/

equals: free jailbreak, sans paying the $30 for the AT90USBKEY.

I already had a Teensy2 on hand, so I didnt need an AT90USBKEY, but I did order some samples from Atmel a while back to build an Arduino shield.
Just fill out the forms with GOOD info, and please, do not use Yahoo or Hotmail accounts for the e-mail field. Use at least a Gmail account, or a custom domain account (e.g. hwqual@skynet.jp)

www.freecycle.org you insert your Province/State/Country and city and you will be sent to a yahoo groups page where there are people offering stuff for free, it is a good way to prevent landfill stuff from going to the dump.

You can even get vintage computers as well as other things.

That VPN site looks a little dodgy to say the least...

people like sending out free bibles, but if you stay at a hotel, you can even take the bible, Gideons who prints them encourages it. However don't think about taking the paintings or the furniture, they have a online store if you want stuff that you see in the hotel room
