I tried it, and I like the new menu, you just need to get the hang of it, and I am using an traditional laptop with no touchscreen. Also, this method will completly disable Metro and will display the ''Microsoft Confidential'' again.

Exactly, I love it using laptop keyboard and external mouse. It's beautiful, I meanight click to get the app bar and bottom left for charms. Brilliant.

I install these things so I can try to reverse engineer some of the bits, not so I can deal with the buggy new ui. I've disabled it for my work, at least for now. All I can say is that in my Parallels VM, its rediculously buggy, randomly doesn't launch apps or return to the launched app properly (x86). I tried the x64 build, which seemed less of a bugfest.

I definitely agree with you, on a tablet I find this interface an amazing improvement and on a desktop I find it a moderate improvement. The main thing that one needs to do is get used to navigating to the places they want to go and things they want to do as fast as they used to, which is definitely the case after time is spent with it.
