Hi guys,
Ever wanted to run Linux on your computer,
but didn't want to mess up your boot partition?
Well, this program installs Linux INTO A FILE! Here are the instructions.

1.Go to http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/windows-installer and click the big orange button.

2. Open the .exe file.

3.Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. After it says you're done, go ahead and reboot. When it turns on, you should see a screen that says "Windows Boot Manager." To try your Linux, click your build of linux that is on the screen. Then you should see an option screen. Go ahead and click your build again.
Then you should boot into your Linux!
5. For wireless, connect to Ethernet and go to System>Administration> Drivers.
Then install any drivers that pop up.
If nothing comes up, then search on google with the name of your wireless card.
If you need any more help, just go on google.

Hope I helped!

unfortunately, installing it that way on ntfs is a big no because of the read-write speed and boot-shutdown times , ubuntu was just not built for that. so i say that if you want to test ubuntu , take a usb drive and install live ubuntu on it with persistent memory of about 1 gb or so , and boot from it whenever you want to without fiddling and eventually messing your partition, the newest 11.04 facilitates just that. if a person who wants to install 11.04 to a specific partition , he will be confused like < insert 4 stars here due to lack of vocabulary> because of the new installer which has gotten a bit too user friendly not balanced in the case of partitioning just like the previous ones were

Wubi only works with Ubuntu-based (Kubuntu, Lubuntu, ...) distros and is slower than a real install due to filesystem fragmentation

I find it okay, I only use Ubuntu every so often so Wubi is neat. I don't care about the speeds as it's good enough, I can't be bothered to mess with the bootloaders and everything getting it to work nicely.
