Id like to ask members how they feel about the speed of the site.

Ive tried to make it as best I can and all I need now is your input on the speed so I know how well Ive done.

Thank you for your input and please post comments if you feel the need to.

If you get very poor results please post so I can try to rectify the problem.

I have great speeds here, although I'm currently on a 52 kbps dial-up connection.

However, I won't vote until I'm back home on my ADSL connection.

Who said the site speed was pathetic? Could you tell me your connection speed? Where you are? Any reasons as to why it could be slow?

Finally back home, on my ADSL 1 Mbps connection. The pages load instantly. Really nice!

Brilliant. And you wouldn't know it was running from my broadband connection would you?

Its 4Mbps down and 400Kbps up

(Before anyone starts arguments, I have a 99% uptime since october 2005 and if its going to be down and its planned, Ill let you know and display a message. If unplanned and it goes down Ill explain why once I know.)

4-6 seconds. Not bad from a 1MBPS ADSL, while Vista Pre-RC1 download's running in background.

i get about 3 seconds which is pretty good for running on a dsl connection. However, you may need to move it to a dedicated server or a hosting co. sometime in the future if the forum continues to grow.

Maybe but its staying here for now, dedicated servers are expensive and shared hosting will be worse than this, since this server is dedicated (only hosts about 6 sites). Bandwidth is the the limiting factor not server speed.

Brilliant. Remember the server only runs a few websites. It barely reaches any cpu load at all. The only problem we will have is bandwidth, but not for some time yet.
