I recently learned the basics, and it is my 1st lanuguage that I've learned.

It stands for Formula Translator or something along these lines and is primarily designed for mathematical computations.

Lol. I have looked at Fortran some years ago. This programming language was "invented" in the 50s or 60s if I remember right. I have never used it, because I didn't knew what to do with it. It isnt object-orientated, you have no funtions, classes or whatever. It's just for numerical operations.
Correct me if I am wrong :P
