A friend of mine, callum, is working on a social networking site called teen4m, I was made admin there and after watching him slave at PHP I decided to program in the only thing I could program in : Visual Basic. But since website aren't made in VB, I coded the next best thing: A client, or rather a custom web browser. Since this is a BETAArchive and since compact-mac.co.uk is down I can't do it there, so here are 2 reasons why I am posting.

We all like BETA's, don't we? So I will keep every major re-compile and save them, currently I am at 0.8 and have archived 0.7 (and 0.3, but I don't have it)

I might upload the source later, should anyone get desperate to see it, and a lot of menus just say "Feature Incomplete" this is due to the fact that Callum's server is down, and I can't get the link to work. It does include its own text editor (with its own text format, after all it is designed for ordinary teenagers or "n00bs" as some people call them, so it will be seperate from .txt files) and several little simple utilities, this took me about 4 hours total and I am proud of it since its my first ever proper program, and I only followed one or two tutorials (on the text editor's save and load) and much of what you see is my random fiddiling around with Visual Basic.

Download: 0.7 0.8

(sorry about RapidShare, but it's because with my site down, I can't store it anywhere else)

Coming in 0.9:

Proper Branding of Startup and About
More Images
Bugfixes
other ideas if do-able

You make it sound like I don't like writing PHP :P

The teen4m client is a excellent program, plus when the site is live, it will be easier to integrate with the site, because at the moment, the site has a confusing, and long-winded sub-domain.

Also, for all you that can't see all of the progress we've made, I can tell you, we've made excellent progress, such as these:

1 1/2 of a friends system
2 Profiles
3 Comments on profiles
4 Dashboard
5 Messaging System
6 RaidBOX Player
7 Member search with gender and country criteria
8 Other things aswell

And here are some features we hope to implement in the somewhat near future:

1 teen4mTV - video sharing website
2 teen4m 3D Messenger - self explanatory
3 Other small but useful features

Maybe in the future I will post a few screenshots of the site.

Hopefully myself and Mark will form a online solutions company, called network467, that will serve as the company in charge of teen4m. Sort of like the Sulake of Habbo, and the Jagex of RuneScape. Then teen4m will be a "subsidiary" of network467 PLC. Makes us sound more professional...

Thanks,
Callum
