Hello!
This year at school I'll be learning C++. So far the basics are going good for me, but I'm looking to get ahead of the class. What I'm asking is are there any good tutorial books/websites that you know of?
Thanks!

Get a good understanding of the object - oriented principles. Study about the algorithms and play with the C++ Standard Library. Don't spend too much time studying about the new features because it is unknown when they will be incorporated in the mainstream compilers.

Many courses from CBT Nuggets and Lynda.com could help you in your quest. A book that I found interesting and funny is "C++ for Dummies". It gives you good insight in the language. The Schaum's series also has a book on C++. The latter could be useful, because it also has many exercises, to put into practice what you learn.

One good side of C++ is that you never really stop learning it.
I mean, the amount of generally reusable knowledge one could gain from mastering it in the years is simply massive.

One approach to start with C++ takes the path of scaling up from C or other procedural language, to C++.
If this suits you, i can't recommend Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in C++" (free online, translated in several languages) enough.
"C++ Annotations" ( http://cppannotations.sourceforge.net/ ) takes a different approach with similar objective.

These, plus Angelika Langer's "The C++ Standard Library" and "Standard C++ IOStreams and Locales" will give you a very complete view of what C++ can do and how to use most of the standard libraries that come with it.
