Oh wait, I forgot, Beta Archive isn't twitter or facebook.
Also, your website? First of all, show me a piece of code that you actually wrote for it. Second of all, don't create a site that looks horrible and is hosted on one of those free [censored]. Third of all, don't use RapidShare to cover up the adf.ly thing, all you want is money considering you were using MegaUpload to host your stuff. Fourth of all, don't be a skiddie, make a decent site that people with an ounce of intelligence will appreciate! Finally, have a nice day.

Just had to get laser eye surgery, that horrible interface really did some damage to my eyes. I also think I'm partially deaf due to that annoying noise that Dean calls music.

P.S, this is constructive criticism.
Im not that advanced at website making so I use a a free host :/ Im 12 yrs old so it might not look professional....

Co.cc domains are free so long as they haven't been used. Stop using adf.ly links to earn your pocket money.

I'd also make the music mutable, or not include it at all. That's gonna get annoying quite fast. This site seems to be aimed directly at people of your age group as well and not towards a general audience....I'm also not so sure it's quite a fantastic idea to link to proxies....

and for a custom domain, You could try .TK, avoid SLDs like .Cz.CC. Co.CC. co.br etc..

.co.cc would be my choice for a domain, simple.

The problem is that these are often associated with malware, spyware, adware and other sorts of malicious content, so people often avoid them. But it's free, so...

.co.cc domains have also been blocked by Google. Rightly so though, because all .co.cc sites are just terrible. If a person isn't invested enough to stump up £2.50/year (or their local equivalent) for a proper domain, then they sure as hell aren't invested enough to create a site worth visiting.

Well I'll give you some pointers:
- Not a fan of music on websites, especially when you can't stop it. Who wants to hear a website playing music when you are trying to play your own music? (That and it also slows down load times)
- Background is not suitable for HD screens. The image just tiles... which never looks good.
- The buttons need more padding, so the icons aren't so close to the button edges.
- The hover image for the buttons doesn't look very good and blocks out the icon.
- There isn't a need for dual logo's. Remove the small one on the top and keep the banner.
- The 'not sure if a site is safe?' widget... it doesn't belong and really has nothing to do with your site.
- The front page definitely needs more content, I recommend using columns.
- What is the random "Windows ISO's" text on the bottom left?
- Html files? It's probably best to move to PHP.
- You really should get a domain, $20 will get you a decent one.

Hope that helps you.

Agree with all but the two quoted.

A tiling background is essential for acheiving a good luck on HD screens. As long as it's a pattern that perfectly tiles. Otherwise it's just terrible.

HTML files are perfectly fine. PHP, ASP.NET, etc all just use server-side code to throw together HTML, and you often have less control over the HTML output unless you're a competent developer yourself. Unless you have need of server-side code, plain HTML files are perfectly fine and much easier to work with.

Of course, ensuring your HTML/CSS is valid is essential, and if you're not comfortable with HTML, I suggest you get the hang of that before moving into websites.

That is sort of what I meant, the image isn't suited as one that should be tiled.

It all depends on how good of a PHP programmer you are... but having a html site is somewhat limiting and generally isn't used a lot today.

OS? Windows XP SP3, of course.
Argh AdFly! You site (supposedly) doesn't get a lot of traffic and tossing an ad with 5 sec. wait is not going to help you long term, neither you'll earn good money. Stop it.

The formatting of text on the site is too inconsistent. For example, in Support and Contact: There are questions like that:
Q:Abc def?
A:Ghijk lmno.
but then there is
Q:1234 5678?
A: 9ABC DEF0.
Notice the space? And...
Q:Qwerty uiop?
Pfygcrl aoeuidht.
You didn't wrote "A:".

And what's with "Bonus stuff"? Are those "AVG" things warez? You tell people to replace *.dll files, serials are included, etc.? Isn't this against the rules of the forum (non beta content)?
Your download list of windows builds is not so bad. But why those damned adfly links?! I could just bypass it by copying the link and deleted the adfly part.

And those icons are a bit weird/stretched/misplaced. And the text colors. Argh.

But that's just my opinion, I hope you didn't get offended, I'm only trying to help. :)

It looks good. Some people might not like the sound playing often. And you should really get a domain name. Sometimes there are very cheap domains for $0.99 a year, and you can pay for only one year.

Ah, I forgot to mention the music is terrible, there should at least be an option to mute it on the domain without actually having to mute the speakers..

BTW. You should get webhosting (paid), that's one I've got for djmati11.com - http://infiniteserve.com/

15$ one-time (PayPal) and you've got it for lifetime (BTW. I've paid $5, cause I've ordered when it started)

I have it since December and it works good, 99.9% uptime.

It's owned by domain company "Ryan and Marc".

I've bought .com at http://namecheap.com/ for $1.99 (PayPal).
If you don't like NC, try http://dynadot.com/

//I haven't seen that -.- Sorry for bumping, but since last post there wasn't 90 days so I didn't break the rules.

Thank you for those links, I was looking for some places to get web hosting/.com domain for about a month, but I never thought they were gonna be this cheap!

+1 for NameCheap
I've just finished moving all my domains there, I like it so far.

The site is beautiful, but try to make a background less aggressive and more friendly menu.

Not a bump according to BA (since its only been 2 months, not 3), yet its been a while, and the forum has 4 Topics, with a total of 8 posts, so its not getting much traffic.

Whats this site about btw. The original post does not say anything except Windows ISO's, so does this mean warez, beta, abandonware, freeware?

So .info is a proper domain? I suppose its better than any free one, but still, most sites are .com these days, some localised, like .fi, .co.uk, .com.au etc. And $11/year isn't much either.

PS. the best free domain I've found is .tk
