it says that it cant find a drive? i chose vista as the virtual machine, do i need to format the drive as ntfs first with a vista disc? ( i dont have a copy of 6801 )

update: i used my vista disc to create a ntfs drive but win7 still says it cant detect a drive? ( im using a vista non service pack version )

Always select CUSTOM in the VM create program.
And select the IDE harddrive, in normal mode, or quick mode it creates and SCSI drive that's why you cant find it.

Personally I always create an IDE drive.

I had the same problem with VMWare Workstation 6 but when I upgrade to VMWare Workstation 6.5, Windows 7 install just fine.
