Is this just me or are others having this happen too? I don't really use this leak of it but today when I opened it I found out its like
a mishmash of Office 2010 starter and Office 15 leak.

Heres what I mean:

Oh wow, I might install the leak on a virtual machine to see what happens (I wonder if it needs the internet to change?). Thats really interesting, maybe Microsoft has built in a new security system?

Yea I did leave Update automatically (which you should never in a leak xD), it must've updated itself. It's quite interesting because in the about at the backstage it
calls itself Microsoft Office 15 Starter. Also the advertisement panel is there too but its a bit screwed up hehe.

Can you post a screenshot of "File -> About" with the versionnumber/versionname, looks nice to see what he report there

The only leaked build (M2) of Microsoft Office "15" is available on the FTP server.

Thats the only one I know has leaked. Since nobodys leaked the Private Technical Preview.

The version number etc. would be nice to know. I suppose Microsoft could be collecting IPs of people running the leaked one, so I don't know if I want to try it, maybe on a proxy, not that Microsoft would do anything with it, I just don't want Microsoft trying to collect info on me.

Stop using Windows then. If you read the EULA, you'll find that Microsoft does collect anonymous info about your computer.

I meant on using illegal software, although I would be more worried if Microsoft collected info on my private documents, but I hope its not (it would be if I used the "Cloud" though, but I don't). I'm not as worried about anonymous data of other kinds, although I always wonder how "Anonymous" the data is.

Wondering was that Office 2010 Starter edition which got updated to Office 15 Started edition ? Since Microsoft is phasing out Office 2010 Starter Edition and for those who want to use Office 2010 Starter they have pushed an update for those users, http://www.zdnet.com/blog/microsoft/mic ... uite/13001

I think Microsoft used Office 15 Mondo Starter as a backstage for Office 15 Mondo Professional Plus. Since Professional Plus has never ran on Click-to-run, they needed it.

Eh? No it was Office 15 Professional Plus (leak) turned into Office 15 Starter.

You mean they made Office 15 Mondo Starter Edition and then used that to build Office 15 Mondo Professional Plus Edition?
