Now if you want music in Sonic CD, you'll need to know how, so this is how to get music.

Why does this happen? Sonic CD's music is called redbook audio. Redbook audio is not in the disc image. The game has the music loaded along side it, every single track. So if you're emulating it, you need to have all the MP3s along side the disc image. The past music is made by the PCM itself, so removing these from the game would be difficult. Here's the track list:

Note: This guide is for the US version of the game. JP/PAL/EUR tracks will work in their place if you like that sound track better, however the sound track listing remains in their place
Note 2: Replace "Track" in the names of the MP3 files with name of the ISO file. If my ISO is named SCD.iso, then my tracks would be named SCD02.mp3 and so on. If you named these tracks exactly as they are named here, to make them work, your ISO would be named "Track".
Note 3: This does not cover all music, just the essential ones.

Code:
Track02: Warp Effect
Track03: Palmtree Panic Present
Track04: Palmtree Panic Good Future
Track05: Palmtree Panic Bad Future
Track06: Collision Chaos Present
Track07: Collision Chaos Good Future
Track08: Collision Chaos Bad Future
Track09: Tidal Tempest Present
Track10: Tidal Tempest Good Future
Track11: Tidal Tempest Bad Future
Track12: Quartz Quadrant Present
Track13: Quartz Quadrant Good Future
Track14: Quartz Quadrant Bad Future
Track15: Wacky Workbench Present
Track16: Wacky Workbench Good Future
Track17: Wacky Workbench Bad Future
Track18: Stardust Speedway Present
Track19: Stardust Speedway Good Future
Track20: Stardust Speedway Bad Future
Track21: Metallic Madness Present
Track22: Metallic Madness Good Future
Track23: Metallic Madness Bad Future
Track24: Boss Music
Track25: Final boss music
Track27: Title Screen
Track28: DA garden
Track29: Act Complete
Track30: Speed Shoes
Track31: Invincibility
Track32: Game Over
Track33: Special Stage
Track34: Time Attack menu
Track35: Something used for ending

Where to get these tracks?
Brawlcustommusic.com has MP3s of all the above tracks, just look it up on the site and download the MP3.

It doesn't really matter what kind of image you use.
