Hello.

Im currently using Neptune and its realy great! :)
But my only problem is that i cant make a connection to the internet.
Im using a VirualPC 7.0 Machine, and i have a cable connection (One that you plug into the power outlet and uses the power network to go to the modem)
I just cant get it to work, i tried putting in the IP myself, but with no luck. It sends bytes but doesnt recive them.
I dont have a dial-up either.

So, is it possible to have Internet on Neptune?

Thanks!

it is possible, just like Windows 2000 and Whistler builds, set the Internet connection to Bridged in the Virtual Machine's settings.

Ok
I tried that, i set my Networking to my: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) - VirtualBox Bridged Networking Driver Miniport. (wow)

It told me the internet cable was unplugged(?) and the internet still doesnt work.

(EDIT) Ah, nevermind. I set it to Shared Networking (NAT) and now its working, cause im editing this in Neptune itself.

Bridged connection to Internet is available for me in VMware Workstation, which doesn't require me to manually set up any drivers for it.

Have to note that I use a router in my home network so that it looks like the VM is connected directly to my router.

I never had anny issue with internet connection in VMware and Virtual box while using Neptune as guest os. But i never use bridget, i allow each vm to have it's own ip and i even designate a secondary network card for virtual box.

Maybe it's because you're bridging from another virtual machine using Virtualbox's Driver.
