As title. I don't want answers like "Giving it more RAM" as this does NOT work for me. I cannot install VMware Tools due to Windows Installer issues. Any more suggestions?

Driver issue. Graphics are BAD without Additions. I don't want to install Additions as I cannot go full screen after installing.

There's really not much you can do to speed up Longhorn in a virtual machine or on real hardware. There's just too much memory leaking and other resource hogs going on in Longhorn.

About all you can disable is WinFS; even then, Longhorn doesn't gain any noticeable speed mainly because Windows Explorer has a bunch of memory leaks in it.

VMware Tools does not work in Windows betas because it can't update the out-of-date Windows Installer.

It does not provide mouse intergration, speed up the virtual machine, and a new video driver. So, not a good choice.

hounsell's driver kit comes with a new video driver. Is it really that much trouble to press a key combo to release the mouse?

Code:
x:\SVGA

where x is your CD drive. You do not want to install the VMWare 3D driver as that will not work in Longhorn. As for installing them, I suggest you look up how to manually install drivers in Windows.

One more question, how do you install the mouse intergration in Longhorn? (VMware Workstation)
