Hi.
My Netgear WGR614v9 has been acting up for the past few hours. Let me explain.

I was doing some photoshopping when I noticed my LAN tray icon showed I had no internet access. Odd. I rebooted the PC, still the same issue. I tried accessing the internet on both of my phones, no joy.

Cut to the chase, I looked at the packet statistics closely. When I tried to request a site on my PC, the LAN connections would recieve packets but the WAN packets did not move at all. When the router itself wanted something (I tested by using the built in update checker), the packets moved/increased. I also couldn't ping my server through the router. I have ICS set up which has worked since I've set it up without any hassle at all. So don't even blame ICS before I give you a network diagram.

[Server 192.168.0.1]---[192.168.0.2 Router 192.168.1.1]---[192.168.1.* (DHCP) PC]

I also ruled out a bad ethernet cable by setting the router to pick up an IP address from the server via DHCP. This succeeded. However, the router still didn't want to route the traffic.

I also forgot to mention I did a 30/30/30 reset. I did try to do the recovery flash via TFTP but that didn't work. If someone could assist me through the steps it'd be greatly appreciated as well as a fix for my router.

Perhaps the issue is not in the router?

He used his phones, they didn't work, so it must be a router issue or some weird ISP issue.

Try turning the router off for 10 minutes to let it cool, see if it works as intended after that. It could be a faulty component.

Still not working. I'm wondering if a static route will fix it. Does anybody know how to use this function?
EDIT: I'm an idiot lmao. For some reason it's Windows 7's driver issue. My phones didn't work because I reset the router before testing them. Reboot in to XP and it's fine.

There's always one.
I should have said I already fixed Windows 7 as soon as I clicked.

I have a Linksys router that doesn't have a stand on it, (I hate Linksys btw.) And it overheats A LOT. So hot it looses the connection. Well I put some legos under it as a stand and it runs cool and I don't have anymore problems. By the way you should check if the modem is the problem or not? Just a thought.
