I was thinking about downloading the One CD version of Ultimate but was wondering if it is possible to integrate Media Center back in after having it installed. (from XP Maybe (probably not))

Also i was wondering would Ultimate Extras install on a Lite Version of Windows Vista?

Thanks for your help.

I could...but the problem for me is my download cap (7.5GB) I would rather download 700MB than 2.5GB.

But I think i've decided that i don't really need media center anyway, there are free alternatives, but if anyone has any answers i would still appreciate them.

As for adding Media Center back in, I am not sure. Speaking of the Ultimate Extras, I am fairly sure you can still use them as you're still running Ultimate.

perhaps you could...
if its ultimate, couldn't you go into the control panel and the windows componet thing and reselct Media center?
then of course you'd need a DVD, which would be self defeating...
personally i have used both the Home Premium lite and ultimate lite.
and premium seems better

integrating it back in, could be a challenge.
but yeh, there are free alternatives.

i say this because, people have been trying to integrate media center into they're workstation editions of windows server 2k8.

just google windows 2008 workstation, and click the first link for more info.

so far, they haven't managed it, but from the skills of people i've seen around, nothing is impossible
