Rebooted I started my project Docs OS Research again. It is the successor of "Docs Scriptum", a basic OS I have written in 2007 and of smaller projects in the following years. It is based on COSMOS, which provides me a little Kernel. The main goal of the project is to improve my skills and build a little working and usefull OS. Because the OS is only a few MBs big I can upload it (my Upload speed is a disaster), and you can test it. Roadmap:
The OS is on a .iso and is built to run in a VM, however you can try it on a real PC. But a warning.... The VGA-Drivers are only written for VMware, so when i begin to implement a GUI it will probably only work good there. The Drivers need alot of work and programming Drivers is not the easiest thing to programm. still under edit

what is interesting about it? planned features? some details about this IAS thing?
IASD or more interesting for the most people here IASE, is a feature which does what the Name says. "Intelligent Answering System English" - you could compare it with Siri (iOS)! It answers questions you ask. A have a Prototype here on my PC , as Console App it can be implemented very easily. Compared to HeinanOS, FZ/OS , CiastOS it is a a managedcode-OS in .NET Language. At the moment it is just a little blot compared to HeinanOS, but development goes on. When I or the Cosmos Team finished the File System Support it will go off like a rocket, because then I can create a Hardwareinstallation etc. ! It will be DOS-like a long time maybe a GUI will be introduced in the far future, but for the first I concentrate on the basics

so, basically, I could just walk up to your IASE feature and ask it "What is the weather like in Cupertino today"?

As I have many things to do, the Maintime of Development is on every Weekend and so very short. In my Plans the Development will go like this (or should) (Roadmap): Dec 24 - Public Preview Version Mid Jan - Reach PreAlpha Stage Mid Feb - Alpha Preview Version
Between this "Mainstages" I will upload Builds ,too for public and private/closed testing. For this I still search Testers for Private/Closed Testing -I think this explains itself what you would have to do. Send PM to me , if you want to test. But please first test it in VM, if you want to test on Real hardware.
At the Moment I work on the Classdesign for the TUI, in the DocsLab Branch. Current Mainbuild is still 0.1.3.

Interesting project. I, myself am also interested in OS development and have been working on my own for the past 3-4 months. Although mine isn't managed, I am always interested in projects that make use of managed code. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
