I am currently working on a Custom OS with the codename "Gift". It should use the most the usefull features from windows build packed in only 1 OS. It is based on build 7601 (Win7 SP1).
Done list:
1. Patched uxtheme.dll and installed themes.
2. Usertitle (can be turned off)
3. Small RegTweaks...
4. AutoColorization
5. Metro Things :P
To do list:
1. "Metro Longhorn" login
2. Ribbon UI for explorer
3. RegTweaks
4. Waiting suggestions

btw: i am now alone working at this project. if someone wants to help me, be my guest

gift is no longer in work

Thank you, mate. Sent me a PM, with a download link to the sounds when you're ready.

So is every OTHER custom OS discussed on this forum that's not being coded from scratch. Microsoft won't go after them unless they're being distributed for profit.

You probably don't know what Longhorn Reloaded is... so Google it and realize how wrong that statement is.

Of course. We're now at Pre-M1. Right now i am hexediting .mui files and regediting and creating the new "Ballmer Betta Fish wallpaper"...
In M2 we will add themes and Rainmeter. In M3 we will add the "Longhorn Metro Boot Screen" and program that add the Windows 8 new features.
Current Team:
giansteen - Sound
compgeke - Forum Hosting
waiting new members

btw: i might need some help hex editing the user32.dll.mui. If someone wants to help me, please help me :D

I'm sure this is being done for the hell of it anyway. Most of the creative things I do are for the hell of it, I don't expect people to exactly widely use things like this. They're just fun.
