what OS is it based on? Windows? Ubuntu? Mac OS X? ETC...
I think he's saying he's modding a video game, (Portal, in this case,) to create an operating system... I once had that idea with Pokemon, but never actually did it...

Is that possible... ? If so it'd be an OS, e.g. Windows that has Portal open on boot and then shuts down when that closes, then sysprepped and put in a wim.

No, I'm thinking it'd be more like using actual parts of the game to "make up" various parts of an OS.
But what do I know? Let;s wait for PortalCake to say how he/she's doing it.

Well, I thought it was, as he said, "OS based on a game." I thought, "based on," in the technical sense... as it was built off of it.
Hey, theoretically, it could be possible, so I didn't think, "no that can't be."

PortalCake. Me.
Doing it wrong? Maybe. For starters, use WinOCM's BootAnim.sys to set the bootscreen to the screensaver found on ASEC terminals. Login screen: use the same concept differently, a yellow on brown screen with ascii.

And PortalCake, Where Can I find this file??
The site is almost complete. Any other ideas for ApertureOS? I was thinking about changing what it said in the Command Prompt, although, I'm not quite sure how to change it from "Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.0.2600). Any more ideas?

Forum is good, but homepage needs more Aperture colors, blue, orange (remember orange color on displays, when you escape from GLaDOS; also in ending credits).
Also, that Made on a Mac.
