The first winmain build! It doesn't have much and it isn't anywhere near release, but this is the first unified build with all three SKUs (Personal, Professional, Server).

Sadly, networking is broken in this build.

Is the aero from this build from a theme or was a program needed?

I think that's pretty much a given, considering networking is a really important OS feature.

And can I beta test too? And maybe a word of advice: why don't you just let the builds out for everyone to see? More people testing it means more feedback, right?

Networking obviously will be fixed in a later build.

I don't upload every single build because uploading all the builds would be hard on my internet at the rate I'm making them

Could you make a patch then? I don't know if it's possible but it'd reduce your likeness of getting a C&D letter from Microsoft. I don't think it would happen anyway but please consider doing that if you can, also because it would reduce upload/download times.

Well, if everyone else that made a customization off of a retail OS hasn't got a C&D letter yet (cough Kenneth cough

), I probably won't either.

I'll upload a build from Longhorn X M1 soon.

Longhorn is my favorite os until now : D
i currently have LH 4074 reloaded on my other desktop pc (SE).
and its working like a charm. i want to be a beta test too if you need someone with experience

If you applied for beta testing, you're in, and tommorrow you'll get a link to build 4513 PM'ed to you.
Be warned of two things: 4513 is in VHD format AND you will need a valid Windows XP Professional Retail key for all Longhorn X builds.
However, I'm not accepting any more beta testers at the time.

My guess is that it's meant to be a private project until it's released.
Windows 7 was a public project, so that's why it was released for people to test software.

This does have LH icons and I may be able to port over a few features.
I released 4513 to testers today.
