So? It still exists. Forbes says it was "pulled."

>Anyway, there was an HP Slate, that could be nearly as popular as, for example, a Galaxy Tab. But they decided to throw it out. That's a fact.
Sounds like HP's fault, not Ballmers.

>Also, Forbes is now a fanboy? They're just keeping up with the latest tech news and see what's going there in the market. A personal computer and Windows still take up the largest part of the industry (yet).
No, Forbes just has incorrect "facts"

>Anyway, yes, Steve Ballmer is a salesman... who is far from a real CEO. Look at Bill Gates for comparison.
Look at the evolution of Windows, then look at the evolution of Windows when Ballmer got the reins.

Ballmer might not be as good as Gates, but he has more vision and he could see that the market was changing, and Microsoft had to change with it.

1. Forbes meant the Zune music player.

2. HP is a direct collaborator of Microsoft.

3. What kind of facts? The Zune music player was really pulled, there's no lies.

4. Yeah, let's see.
Windows 95 (Windows Shell interface, easier to use than 3.11). Windows 98 (hardware support, sharper looks, theming). Windows 2000 (core OS for business users, solid, reliable). Windows XP (a true Windows revolution, no need to say). Windows Mobile (a PDA you can take anywhere you want, stylus as a pointing device - was awesome back then).

After Bill Gates stopped being a full-time chairman.
Windows 7 (an improvement over Vista, better Aero interface, popularity)... Anything else?

Zune just needs more advertisement. I hope this will be rectified in Windows 8 as Zune would make an excellent replacement to WMP. Not everyone is tech savvy enough to install Zune, let alone know better alternatives.

Totally needs. But there's no. For example, why isn't that called Zune:
